Highlights of Last Week

Construction

Substation SS40:
Excavation completed. Remaining 20 nos footings ready for casting. Rebar and formwork installation for stumps in progress. 6 nos of footings in on-hold status require input from engineering.

Unit 18 :
Pile hacking for pile extension completed for C-1801, installation of rebar plan to start next week. Pile plugging expected to complete by next week.

Excavation for piperack foundations started. Excavation from Gd 1 to 8 in progress. Rebar and formwork installation expected by next week.

LSWR :
78 Piles driven out of 354 no. Second Rig in operation.

Unit 72 :
220 Mtr of drain excavation completed. 85 meter of drain raft and 45 mtr of drain wall casting is completed.

Unit 75 :
Test pile driven for OSBL. Rigs mobilized to Unit 75 tankages area for test pile driving.

Lay Down Area :
Area Grading 98% completed. Installation of Pre-cast drain 80% completed. Road development 70% completed. Erection of steel structure for Unit 19 & 31 warehouse in progress. Construction of ground beams for Unit 18 and Off Site warehouse in progress. Slab for canteen and dining facilities cast this week.

TA Mall :
Site clearing started and in progress.

Sub-contracting :

· All Civil packages finalized except for drain and Road works. (To be done in Dec,06)
· Tank fabrication and erection for Unit 75 awarded this week.

Manpower:

Present Manpower strength available at site: 236 Nos

Activities Planned for Next week:


Construction

· Unit 19 : Start of work for unit 19 civil works
· SCR-08 : Start of work of SCR-08 work
· Unit 75 : Commencement of earth cutting and filling work in unit 75. Test pile
at Unit 75 tank area.
· Unit 51 : Continue dismantling of existing equipments and breaking of
dykewall.
· TA Village : Start excavation and foundation works.
· SS 40 : Continue stumps and columns constructions.
· Laydown : Completion of steel erection for Unit 19 & 31 ware house.
· LSWR : Second Rig Commissioning and start of piling with second Rig.

Subcontracting

· Unit 75 & LSWR: Kick off meeting planned for unit 75 / LSWR civil works
· Tank Fabrication and Erection for LSWR: Finalization of contractor.
